Journeys of Lance Jones
Nov 5, 2009 The University Lecture Series presents a "Journeys" lecture by Lance Jones, general manager of the Post-Gazette Pavilion. The title of his talk is "Passages: A Life in Tune; Moving With the Music." In his talk, Jones will discuss his journey, from a roadie in high school, FM deejay in college, and record store manager upon graduation, to a marketing position with National Record Mart, director of booking for the Civic Arena, and now as general manager of the Post-Gazette Pavilion. Jones will share his musical passages as well as highlight national and local musical trends, twists and turns along the way. The lecture will be followed by a Q & A, and then a brief screening of some concert videos.
