Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim
Oct 25, 2012 A Carnegie Mellon Opera production, Sondheim's "Into the Woods" is a captivating tale of of four characters that each have a wish, including the Baker and his wife who long to have their first child. They soon discover that their plight is a result of a witch's curse, and will only lift it if the Baker collects four special ingredients for her potion. The Baker embarks on a quest to find the ingredients of the witch's potion, crossing paths with various storybook personalities like Cinderella, Jack, and Little Red Riding Hood. This production is directed by Dominic Missimi with Robert Page as Music Director. Assisting Page with conducting duties on the Friday and Sunday performances will be Corey Wachala.
