Grand Menorah Lighting
Dec 12, 2012 The CMU Jewish community will unite to light a nine foot tall menorah in the center of campus for the first time. CMU faculty members will light the menorah followed with live Chanukah music by the Bagpipe Band and hot apple cider and latkes for all to enjoy. This program is being run by Chabad of Carnegie Mellon University and is co-sponsored by AEPi, Hillel JUC, Jewish Student Association and Tartans for Israel. In addition to this menorah lighting, Chabad is providing a full week of Chanukah programs for CMU students including smaller menorah lightings, a falafel dinner, Chanukah parties and more.
