Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration
Jan 21, 2013 Carnegie Mellon will celebrate civil and human rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.'s global impact with an afternoon of programs and activities. Programming includes Carnegie Mellon President Jared L. Cohon's State of Diversity address, the MLK Jr. Writing Awards presentation and readings, an Arts Greenhouse Hip-Hop performance and workshop, a candlelight procession, student speaker Andre Lewis and keynote speaker Binta Niambi Brown. Classes after 12:30 p.m. will be canceled to encourage student, faculty and staff participation.
