Research over the last 25 years has suggested that exposure to particulate air pollution contributes substantially to respiratory and cardiovascular disease. This presentation will provide an overview of the science regarding the health of effects of particulate air pollution and will discuss related controversies pertaining to public policy efforts to control air pollution.
