Hamburg Hall 1000

Join us at the 2nd Faculty Seminar of Carnegie Mellon's T-SET University Transportation Center, where we will learn more about adaptive real-time, adaptive traffic signal control from Professor Steve Smith. This seminar introduces a new approach to traffic signal control that has recently been tested in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The core technology, which combines concepts from the fields of artificial intelligence and traffic theory, will be discussed, along with results of the pilot and current research that aims to build on its success.
