The Center for the Arts in Society presents Larisa K. Mann, a legal ethnographer, educator, journalist, public speaker and award-winning DJ, who will present "Rocking the Body Politics; Musical Spaces for Resistance & Survival." With a PhD from UC Berkeley Law School's Jurisprudence and Social Policy Program, she is currently
teaching in NYU's Department of Media, Culture and Communication and Brooklyn College's Department of Sociology. Her work explores the intersection of culture, copyright law, technology and power, through an ethnographic case study of Jamaican music-making.
